Global beauty company L’Oréal has denied the reported claim that it suspended advertising spending on Twitter after Elon Musk completed his takeover of the social media company on October 27.

“L’Oréal did not make any decision to suspend advertising spending on Twitter,” a company spokesperson told Reuters yesterday.

This news comes days after U.S. carmaker General Motors said it “temporarily paused” paid advertising on the social media site.

According to Reuters, advertisement sales represented over 90% of Twitter’s revenue for the second quarter of 2022.
